3rd Party Package Availability
Pre-packaged versions of the Kea DHCP server are available for multiple operating systems from third parties, as well as from ISC.
Packages created and maintained by third parties are not directly supported by ISC.
Support customers should use ISC maintained packages or build from source obtained directly from ISC.
ISC maintains packages (called ISC-Kea to prevent conflict with OS-provided packages) for RHEL, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu and Fedora.
Third party packages may lag behind official ISC releases by several months. Additionally, newer Kea versions may not be available at all for older operating system releases.
To use the most up-to-date verson of Kea, ISC recommends that you build from source code .
