Welcome to ISC's Knowledgebase
This site is intended to provide answers to many of the questions users may have about our open source software products: BIND 9, Kea DHCP, Stork, and ISC DHCP.
In other articles in this About ISC section, you'll find some general information that applies to all of our software. In the BIND 9, Kea DHCP, Stork, and ISC DHCP sections, you'll find lots of detailed information and helpful tips to make your network administration easier.
Information can be found in a number of ways:
Search
From the KB homepage you can search for articles by keyword using the search box in the middle of the screen:

Or, if you are reading an article already, you can either click on the magnifying glass at the top of the left hand sidebar:

or use the key combination shown. In this case the user was on a Mac. Windows and Linux both use the key combination ctrl+K. Both of these actions - clicking or key combination - result in the popup search box being opened:

Be aware that D360 search ignores whitespace.
Browse
Feel free to browse through everything, starting on the KB homepage.
Or, if you are already reading an article, the left sidebar lists all categories and subcategories (and potentially sub-sub categories etc.) containing articles:

Categories can be expanded or collapsed by clicking the > or V to the left of the name.
The article currently being read is highlighted with a dot.
Tags
As well as articles being organised into categories, each article can also have one or more tags applied to it.
Tags are a way to highlight that articles contain information about a particular topic. Any tag can be applied to one or more articles and each article can have multiple tags applied to it.
The tags applied to the current article are listed in the right hand sidebar, in alphabetical order. For example:

Clicking a tag produces a list of articles that have that tag applied.
We intend to make more extensive use of tags as the KB develops.
